Thursday’s News Tribune includes a story on Leon Fleisher, a former child prodigy pianist who lost the use of his right hand for about 30 years. He and his wife Katherine Jacobson-Fleisher are performing Mozart’s “Concerto for Two Pianos” with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center’s (newly re-named) Symphony Hall.
Here is the 2007 doc about Fleisher that was up for an Academy Award in the shorty division. It is worth way more than the 17 minutes it takes to watch it. Enjoy, kiddies!
