Great line of the Day: Jody Kujawa

Every once in awhile, someone says something so fantastic, but there is just no place to put the quote. I had a conversation with actor/comedian/karoake DJ Jody Kujawa — who will henceforth be referred to as "local funnyman Jody Kujawa."

Renegade Comedy Theatre is bringing back it’s weekly Comedy Olympics starting at 8 p.m. on Friday at PeasantWorks Porch (310 1/2 Lake Ave. S., above Hell’s Kitchen). Kujawa is leading the weekly show, that takes a page from "Whose Line Is It Anyway."

But, wait. Isn’t Kujawa starring in Change of Pace Theater’s "All My Murders" for the next three weeks at Fitger’s? In his absense, Evan Kelly — who recently starred in "Pillow Man" and Dink Tank’s holiday show — will be at the helm.

Asked about his frequent dinner theater gigs, local funnyman Jody Kujawa said:

"The dinner is a bigger star than you are. … It can be soul crushing."
